The Silk Street 3-piece band launched the Christmas Party today by opening the fantastic all new, brighter and more contemporary Roomes store in Upminister. The band was featured at the front of the store, enticed passers by and entertained the high street. Click below to view the full brochure.

The Silk Street jazz trio entertained early Christmas shoppers yesterday outside Elys department store. The lively up-beat versions of Rockin’ Around The Christmas, Jingle Bells and White Christmas got mum’s, kids and passers by in the mood and the weather was not too cold either!

The summer season is over for another year and what a busy one we’ve had; including a green-fingered performance at the Chelsea Flower Show, a sunburnt cruise at the Henley Regatta and a perennial, but damp Hampton Court Flower Show. It is often the case and we hear it so many times, here is the scenario: You booked a jazz band for your reception about 6 months ago and a few days before the big day, they call you…

“Im very sorry Miss Smith, but we cannot make your wedding this Friday, the band is now performing at the local jazz festival and it has been advertised for a while”
